Allan Wayne McLaurin and Darron Bennalford Anderson were convicted in 1993 of robbery, kidnapping and rape of an elderly woman in Tulsa County. Anderson was initially sentenced to 2,200 years in prison; however, he appealed and won a new trial. His second trial also ended in conviction, but this time, the jury sentenced Anderson to 11,250 years. His accomplice, McLaurin, was sentenced to 21,250 years, but upon appeal, his sentence was reduced by 500 years.

TULSA (1996) - A jury selected sentences for two convicted rapists totaling 32,500 years in prison. One received 21,250 years and the other 11,250—after they were re-sentenced for a 1993 attack on a Sand Springs woman.
Allan Wayne McLaurin (b. July 29, 1966 | age 57) received 2,000 years on each of four counts of rape, 2,000 years on each of four counts of forcible sodomy, 1,750 years for kidnapping, 1,500 years for assault with a dangerous weapon, and 500 years each on two counts of robbery and single counts of larceny and burglary.
Darron Bennalford Anderson received 2,000 years on each of two counts of rape, 2,000 years on each of two counts of forcible sodomy, 1,750 years for assault with a dangerous weapon, and 500 years each on single counts of burglary, robbery and larceny.
When the case was tried in 1993, McLaurin and Anderson received a combined 6,475 years in sentences—the stiffest punishment in memory for a Tulsa County case not involving murder.
These sentences exceeded that mark by 26,025 years. The total sentences exceeded the punishment recommended by District Attorney Bill LaFortune, who suggested 1,000 years per count in order to “ensure they will never walk the streets again”.
The 1993 sentences were reversed in October by the Court of Criminal Appeals, which said the trial judge erroneously instructed the jury that a defendant is “presumed not guilty” rather than “presumed innocent”.
The victim, a newlywed of three months when the attack occurred, said three men repeatedly raped and sodomized her after her car was rammed off U.S. 75 in Tulsa.
The ordeal spanned several hours, moving from the highway to a motel room and to the victim's Sand Springs home, where she managed to summon help by phone, testimony indicated.
LaFortune said evidence indicated the three men committed 13 separate acts of rape and sodomy and contended Anderson and McLaurin were “predators”.
Anderson had three prior felony convictions, for two 1986 burglaries and a 1989 robbery. McLaurin had a 1988 conviction for burglary. Based on those records, Anderson faced a minimum of 20 years per count, and McLaurin faced at least 10 years per count.
The third attacker has not been charged.
Under a lawyers' guideline, any sentence exceeding 45 years is considered equivalent to a life term for prison and parole purposes. Under that rule, McLaurin and Anderson face the equivalent of 14 and eight life terms, respectively.i
