Andrew James Turley (b. May 24, 1987 | age 36) hereinafter referred to as “Andy”) posted an advertisement on Craigslist in 2015 under the heading “Play with Daddy’s Little Girl”. In emails with undercover Houston Police Department officers, he wrote that he had a girl “younger than 10” to whom he would give “sleep meds” before the encounter.
Andy told the undercover officer he charged $1,000 for two hours with his daughter and wrote that the girl might be “too young for intercourse but everything else is OK”.
The officer arrived at a time Andy set during visitation with his daughter, who lived in a Houston-area apartment with her mother.
Upon the undercover officer's arrival, Andy checked the cash and escorted him to a bedroom where the girl was lying in bed and appeared to be “under the influence of an unknown substance”.
“This case broke my heart,” said ADA Miskell, who was one of two prosecutors on the case. “A father is supposed to be a protector not a predator. Jurors saw the need to keep him out of our community”.
Andy received a 30-year sentence for each charge to be served consecutively. He will be eligible for parole after 45 years.
