Letter/envelope from the New Jersey Trenton Strangler serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from the New Jersey "Trenton Strangler" Anthony Balaam. Between 1994 and 1996, Balaam raped and murdered four prostitutes in sex-for-drugs exchanges. He would be arrested 8/8/1996 after a would-be fifth victim escaped. Balaam was sentenced to life without parole on 1/26/2001, escaping the death penalty that prosecutors were seeking against him.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is four pages on four sheets, dated 4/23/2006, and is signed, "Tony." In the letter Balaam goes into detail how he's innocent of the crimes he's convicted of. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 4/21/2005, which doesn't make too much sense? Some one had their dates mixed up, it was either Balaam or the U.S.P.S. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
