This auction is for a letter from the Colorado Watts family murderer Christopher Lee Watts. On 8/13/2018, Chris Watts murdered his pregnant wife, strangling her to death, and then his two daughters, ages three and four, smothering them with a blanket. He would be arrested two days later when his story started falling apart. Chris Watts plead guilty on 11/6/2018 in an effort to escape the death penalty and received multiple life sentences. On 12/3/2018, he would be transferred to another state for his safety to serve out his sentence. The Watts case gained a fair amount of attention with the Netflix release of American Murderer: The Killer Next Door. If you haven't seen that documentary, do yourself a favor and watch!

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The letter is one page, dated 9/11/2019, and signed, "Chris." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 9/12/2019. The letter and envelope both come in a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat, the letter being folded once. Message me with any questions you might have.
