Letter/envelope set from the convicted Illinois double murderer and suspected serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from convicted Illinois double murderer and suspected serial killer Dale Anderson. On 9/27/1989, Dale Anderson murdered a mother and son, beating and then stabbing them with a pair of scissors. The motive for the crime was to frame his supervisors at his place of employment. While no physical evidence was found at the crime scene linking Dale Anderson, his car was spotted in the area. Further, it became apparent that Dale Anderson had problems with his supervisors. A note found written by the victim, blaming those individuals, only added suspicion. Dale Anderson would be arrested 9/29/1989. He would be convicted of the double murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Dale Anderson is supected in five additional homicides. Former FBI agent Robert Ressler firmly believed that Dale Anderson committed the string of murders.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on one sheet, dated 4/4/2006, and signed, "Dale Anderson." Anderson has enclosed four additional letters, on two sheets, and asked the original recipent to type them out for him. I couldn't tell you what he's going on about here. It certainly sounds crazy! It seems Anderson is trying to get visitors in the promise he will reveal where someone is currently living? I've scanned two of these letters which are in the second image here. There's another letter of sorts, to be mailed to a magazine publisher, requesting free magazines. This letter was addressed to an attorney and not subject to inspection by prison staff as general correspondence is. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 4/10/2006. The letter, enclosures, and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
