Description

This auction is for a letter from California rapist and double murder Dennis Duane Webb. On the evening of 2/4/1987, Dennis Webb broke into the home of an Atascadero family, raping and murdering both the husband and wife that lived there. The couple would be shot while trying to escape during the early morning hours the following day. Dennis Webb would be arrested 2/6/1987. He confessed to a series of murders dating back to 1973 when he lived in Texas. He would be convicted for the Atascadero double murder and sentenced to death in 1988. Dennis Webb died on 12/13/2016, his cause of death not released by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He was 65.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on one sheet, dated 5/29/2006, and is signed, "Dennis." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 6/1/2006.
