Letter/envelope set from the Tennessee Soul Sucker while awaiting sentencing.
This auction is for a letter from Tennessee double murderer "Soul Sucker" Garland Ray Milam. In 2005, Garland Milam murdered two homeless associates. He would turn himself into police on 8/13/2005. During his confession to police Garland Milam said, "I got addicted to sucking the souls out of people that I was killing. And I'm going to do it again, if I don't get the death penalty." Garland Milam plead guilty and received two consecutive life sentences on 1/24/2007.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on two sheets, dated 1/9/2007, and signed, "Garland Milam." This letter was mailed from the Davidson Criminal Justice Center in Nashville while Milam was awaiting sentencing. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 1/11/2007.
