Letter/envelope set from the deceased Tennessee serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from deceased Tennessee serial killer George Putt (9/11/1969 - 10/26/2015). In less than a month, in 1969, George Putt raped and murdered five women. His victims sustained sexual mutilations, some were strangled to death, others stabbed. George Putt is believed to have committed a sixth murder, which would have been his first on his timeline, on 4/27/1969, but was never charge. That victim was male but fit his murder method of repeated stabbing and lived close to where Putt worked. Apparently, it was rumored that George Putt engaged in homosexual relations. George Putt was convicted of murder in 1970 and sentenced to death. He sentenced would be commuted to life imprisonment after the United States Supreme Court abolished the death penalty in 1973. George Putt died of natural causes on 10/26/2015. He was 69.
