This auction is for a cassette tape insert signed by deceased counter culture figurer and artist GG Allin (8/29/1956 - 6/26/1993). Born Jesus Christ Allin, it was almost ordained that Allin would do great things. His controversial punk rock music, coupled with an extreme stage performances, earned him a reputation which was a head of its time. Arrested and imprisoned on multiple occasions, GGAllin also took to writing to inmates, most notably John Wayne Gacy, who's artwork would be featured on album covers. GG Allin died of a drug overdose on 6/28/1993. He was 36.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The cassette tape insert is for the album Freaks, Faggots, Drunks & Junkies and signed, "GG Allin." This album was signed at an in-store appearance in Hollywood, California, on 5/21/1993, shortly before his death. This auction will include a cut of dreadlock from GG's brother, Merle Allin, who is also no stranger to the world of true crime. The cassette tape insert comes inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat. The dreadlock comes in the Ziplock styled sandwich bag it was sold in.
