Letter/envelope set from the deceased Moors Murders serial killer and Myra Hindley accomplice.
This auction is for a card from deceased Moors Murders serial killer Ian Brady (1/2/1938 - 5/15/2017). Between 1963 and 1965, Ian Brady, with accomplice Myra Hindley, murdered five children in Manchester, England. Their motive was sexual assault. Ian Brady would be arrested on 10/7/1965, Myra Hindley on 10/11/1965. The pair would be charged with three murders, which was the body count they had at the time. They would be convicted and each sentenced to life in prison. Myra Hindley died of natural causes on 11/15/2002. She was 60. Ian Brady died of natural causes on 5/15/2002. He was 79.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is one page on one sheet measuring 8.25"×11.25", dated 6/5/2006, and is signed, "Ian." A handsome one-page communiqué that would frame up nicely! The original mailing envelope is initialed and dated on the reverse 6/6/2006. An inspection slip has been added by the Ashworth Hospital Authority.
