The letter you’re referring to is known as the “Openshaw Letter,” sent to Dr. Thomas Horrocks Openshaw at the London Hospital on October 29, 1888. Dr. Openshaw had recently analyzed a kidney that was sent along with the infamous “From Hell” letter to George Lusk of the Whitechapel Vigilance Committee.
In the Openshaw Letter, the writer claimed to be Jack the Ripper and mentioned the kidney that had been sent to Lusk. The letter was part of a series of communications from individuals claiming to be the notorious serial killer, though the authenticity of these letters is still debated
