Letter/envelope set from the Illinois triple murderer who cut out a full-term fetus.
This auction is for a letter from Illinois triple murderer Jacqueline Annette Williams. On 11/16/1995, Jacqueline Williams, with boyfriend Fedell Caffey and cousin Levern Ward, broke into an apartment and shot the woman who lived there. Ward then cut her full-term fetus out of her womb, the apparent motive as Jacqueline Williams and Fedell Caffey wanted a newborn. The victim's 10-year-old daughter was stabbed to death in the apartment. Her seven-year-old son was kidnapped, tortured, and ultimately murderer. The three would be arrested the next day. Williams signed a full confession two days later. The baby survived the ordeal. Jacqueline Williams and Fedell Caffey would both be convicted at trial and sentenced to death. Those sentences would be commuted to life imprisonment with the blanket commutation by the Illinois governor in 2003. Levern Ward was also convicted and sentenced to life.
