John Hinckley handwritten letter seized by the United States Secret Service used in court against him 1980’s
Great piece showing his remaining obsession with Jodie Foster he is asking a specific friend to send him her portrait in the nude.
This was used against him and sealed his faith to remain behind bars. It was seized by secret service agents that came one day to the house of the the person who received the correspondence and an affidavit and personal business card was presented to him. All items seized and used against John Hinckley was eventually returned and a letter was also presented then.
Great story and items and provenance to back this piece. Artworks of Jodie Foster in the nude were also seized along an envelope and all where used against him.
Only the letter is part of this auction.
John Hinckley was suppose to have a real ease under surveillance at the time that he never got and copies of newspaper articles talking about this will also be included. Hickory spent almost 3 decates behind bars because of this letter before being released in 2015.
