Letter/envelope set from the executed Texas cop killer.
This auction is for a letter from executed Texas cop killer Johnathan Bryant Moore (4/4/1974 - 1/17/2017). On 1/15/1995, Moore, with accomplices Pete Dowdle and Paul Cameron, were robbing a residence in San Antonio, Texas. An off duty police officer came upon the scene and attempted to apprehend the individuals by boxing their car in the driveway of the home. After taking the car keys, the officer attempted to get the men to exit their vehicle. It was at that point Moore shot the officer in the chest, recovered the car keys, and took the officer's weapon, shooting him three times in the head. All the suspects would be arrested. Moore confessed. He would be convicted and sentenced to death. Dowdle received 25 years for his role in the crime and Cameron was sentenced to life imprisonment. Moore was executed on 1/17/207. He was 32.
