Letter/envelope set from the deceased California serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from deceased California serial killer Louis James Peoples. In 1997, Louis Peoples stole an Alameda County sheriff's deputy's handgun and went on a two-week crime spree, murdering four people. He would be arrested on 11/12/1997. The deputy's gun was found buried in a muddy field. Evidence collected from Louis Peoples' apartment linked him to the crimes. He would be convicted and sentenced to death on 8/4/2000. Louis Peoples was found dead in his death row cell at San Quentine State Prison on 1/24/2021, dead from apparent suicide by hanging. He was 58.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is four pages on two sheets and signed, "Louis." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 3/14/2007.
