Card/envelope set from the deceased Moors Murders serial killer and Ian Brady accomplice.
This auction is for a card from deceased Moors Murders serial killer Myra Hindley (7/23/1949 - 11/15/2002). Between 1963 and 1965, Myra Hindley, with accomplice Ian Brady, murdered five children in Manchester, England. Their motive was sexual assault. Ian Brady would be arrested on 10/7/1965, Myra Hindley on 10/11/1965. The pair would be charged with three murders, which was the body count they had at the time. They would be convicted and each sentenced to life in prison. Ian Brady died of natural causes on 5/15/2002. He was 79. Myra Hindley died of natural causes on 11/15/2002. She was 60.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The greeting card is dated 6/12/1989, measures 3.25"×4.25" when closed, and is signed, "Myra." The ink blemishes (for lack of a better term) on the three words visible on the back of the card, near her signature, are the only ones on the card. The original mailing envelope is postmarked, but the date isn't legible. The card and envelope come in a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
