This auction is for a letter from Texas Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Malik Hasan. On 11/5/2009, Army Major Nidal Hasan opened fire at the military installation at Fort Hood in Texas. During the massacre Nidal Hasan killed 13 people and injured 30 others. Nidal Hasan was an Islamic extremist, citing anti-American sentiment and religious bigotry as his motives. He was sentenced to death on 8/28/2013.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is one page and is signed, "Nidal Hasan." This letter was sent while Hasan awaited trail in the Bell County Jail in Benton, TX. Hasan as enclosed the original recipient's letter. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 8/15/2012.
