Letter/envelope set from the Illinois parricide.
This auction is for a letter from Illinois child murderer Paula Blew-Sims. On 6/17/1986 and 4/29/1989, Paula Blew-Sims murdered her two daughters. Her first daughter she blamed on a home invasion kidnapping. The child's lifeless body was found behind her home. With the second daughter also being kidnapped, the state eventually brought charges against Paula Blew-Sims. She would be convicted of two counts of murder, two counts of obstruction of justice, and concealing a homicide on 2/2/1990. The jury deadlocked on imposing the death penalty. Paula Blew-Sims was sentenced to life without parole.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is four pages on two sheets, dated 4/22/2006, and is signed, "Paula." Sims has enclosed a print of a sunflower wearing glasses with a Martha Washington quote. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 4/24/2006. The letter, enclosure, and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
