This auction is for an envelope from deceased California serial killer Phillip Carl Jablonski (1/3/1946 – 12/272019). Phillip Jablonski killed a at least five women between 1978 to 1991. Two of his victims were legally married to him. Phillip Jablonski came from a very abusive background. While growing up he sexually assaulted his sister and would ultimately abuse his own children. After being convicted of murdering his third wife he served a 12 year person term, where he met his fourth wife, whom he would also kill upon being paroled along with her mother, his mother-in-law. His crimes were marked with sexual sadism, mutilations, and torture. Phillip Jablonski is believed to have committed a series of additional crimes, although an exact number of victims may never be known. Phillip Jablonski died of natural causes on 12/27/2019. He was 73.

ORIGINAL RECIPIENT TIMOTHY LAX: This missive was originally mailed to murder victim Timothy Lax. On 5/31/2011, 24-year-old Lax, and his 18-year-old girlfriend, would be stabbed to death by Jeffery Minnick, in Oakland, MD. Jeffery Minnick would enter an Alford Plea to the charges and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Timothy Lax often wrote inmates all over the United States, sending a standard letter to everyone he wished to communicate with. Timothy Lax even made the trip to Corcoran, CA, where he visited with P.H.U. inmate Kenny Calihan, meeting Charles Manson, who was also in the visitation room at the time. Lax initially met Minnick through correspondence, while he was serving time for burglary and rape.
