The man who got away - comes with 6 pages explaining who he was. The story of Albert Bradford started way before the Guyana Massacre that took place in 1978.
He was a charismatic man who went to prison at the age of 17 with three life sentences for rape. He transformed himself into an artist and leader of men then committed his most heinous crime of all and beat the system.
In 1971 he was arrested in Boston and was by then already the executive director of the Malcom X foundation in Roxbury section of town.....by 1972 he arrives in Guyana and is directly involved with Jim Jones and People’s Temple. He is also a suspect in U.S Congressman Leo Ryan’s murder in Guyana.
Bradford’s name would only surface again on November 1978 following the Jonestown Massacre in Guyana.
A reporter of the St-Louis Globe Democrat picked up from the FBI that Bradford was budding in Guyana. He was in fact a lieutenant in the Guyana Defence Force.
Guyana has no extradition treaty with the U.S.A and was racked with corruption. It is a strange and fascinating tale of how this man that was directly involved with Jim Jones and the People’s Temple beat the system.
