Ever had the condemned sitting on Death Row reach out to you and initiate contact??? Doesn’t happen all the time, but when it did happen I could not put the name and the face to recognize just who it was that was writing. Even though I had read Michael Newton’s ‘The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers Vol. #1’ many years and times over I was at that time at a loss. Convicted killer and rapist, known in the press as ‘The Classified Ad Rapist’ during his run, Long is credited with the murders of over ten people. Robert J. Long was executed by lethal injection on May 23, 2019 by the state of Florida. Though he may have never made it on Geraldo, nor have books written about him exclusively he was still a man credited and convicted of killing and raping multiple women who went on to pay for his deeds the only way Florida knows how to do so, with the his execution. Anyway I never wrote back because…..well homeboy just weirded me out a lil.
Anyway this auction is for that handwritten letter I received, as well as the envelope it came in and a pre-arrest photo of Long he included in this letter.
