Christmas card from the New Jersey Susan Strangler serial killer.
This auction is for a card from New Jersey Susan Strangler serial killer Robert Reldan. Between 1974 and 1975, Robert Reldan raped and murdered eight young women and girls. His moniker derived from killing two women by that name. He would be arrested and convicted of two murders, receiving a life sentence in 1979. During his trial, Robert Reldan tried to have his aunt murdered in order to receive her $8.9 million, which was going to be left to him. He would be convicted of that conspiracy to commit, as well. In an odd twist, that same aunt left him her money, which he inherited in 2008. The family of one of the victims filed a wrongful death lawsuit and took his inheritance in 2010.
