Letter/envelope set from the deceased New York murderer.
This auction is for a letter from deceased New York murderer and necrophile Winston Moseley (3/2/1935 - 3/28/2016). Between 1963 and 1964, Winston Moseley murdered two young women. Winston Moseley was arrest on an unrelated charge and confessed to three murders, knowing intimate details of each. Despite his confession, a second suspect, Alvin Mitchell, would ultimately be convicted of the third murder. Winston Moseley was initially sentenced to death, which would later be reduced to life in 1967 on appeal. In 1968 he escaped while visiting a hospital, raping a woman before being recaptured. He also participated in the 1971 Attica uprising. Winston Moseley died of natural causes 3/28/2016. He was 81.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on one sheet, dated 5/11/1997, and signed, "Winston." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 5/12/1997.
