This auction is for a letter from South Carolina maternal filicide Susan Smith. On 10/25/1994, Susan Smith drowned her two young sons buy rolling her car into a local lake with the two secured in car seats. The case made national headlines when explanation for the missing children was a carjacking by an unknown African American male. Ultimately Susan Smith would confess on 11/3/1994 and subsequently received a life sentence with the possibility of parole after 30 years.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on two sheets, dated 4/28 with no year, and signed, "Sue," not a typical signature for Smith.
