This auction is for a letter from executed Florida serial killer David Gore (8/25/1953 - 4/12/2012). In the 1980s, David Gore, along with cousin accomplice Fred Waterfield, committed a string of sexual assaults and murders. The pair had been accused of sexual assault prior to any killing. Their first murder was of a mother and daughter together. David Gore was an auxiliary sheriff's deputy, giving him an advantage with the law on his side. In the end, David Gore was convicted of six counts of murder, Waterfield two. The pair became known as the Killing Cousins. David Gore was sentenced to death, Fred Waterfield received life. David Gore was executed 4/12/2012. He was 58.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is five pages on three sheets, dated 7/19/1997, and signed, "David." In the letter Gore gives relationship advice before going into raping his own wife. Quite the lady's man! The original mailing envelope is postmarked 7/21/1997. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
