This auction is for a painting by condemned California serial killer Charles Ng Chi-Tat. From 1983 to 1985, Charles Ng, with accomplice Leonard Lake, abducted, raped, tortured, and murdered between 11 and 25 victims. The pair an built a cell to house female victims as sex slaves in remote Calaveras County. Lenoard Lake was arrested in a vehicle they stole from a victim, who was only reported as missing at that point. He poisoned himself while in police custody, but not before randomly naming Charles Ng. Charles Ng fled to Canada, where he was arrested and ultimately extradited back to the United States.
