This auction is for a letter from executed Alabama serial killer Thomas Warren Whisenhant (1/29/1947 – 5/27/2010). Between 1975 and 1976, Thomas Whisenhant raped and murdered three women, then mutilated their corpses. After being seen near one of the body dump sites and was arrested shortly thereafter. He then confessed to a series of murders and sexual assaults to the police. Thomas Whisenhant would be convicted and sentenced to death for one of the murders. He later plead guilty to the two additional homicides. He was housed on death row for 32 years, 8 months and 20 days. Thomas Whisenhant was executed on 5/27/2010. He was 63.
