Crafts/card/envelope set from the formally condemned Texas killer of gay men.
This auction is for crafts and a card from former Texas death row inmate and murderer Marlin Enos Nelson. In 1987, Marlin Nelson lured a gay man to his home under a guise of having sexual relations. Once inside he beat the victim with a metal bar before stabbing him to death. Marlin Nelson is believed to have killed at least one other gay man and attempting to kill another. He tried to justify his actions on the account he was molested at 11-years-old. A Harris County jury wasn't having it. He was convicted on multiple charges, including robbery, and sentenced to death in 1988. His conviction was overturned in 2013. Marlin Nelson received a life sentence in 2019.
