On 3/17/1996, Michael Alig, with accomplice Robert Riggs, killed their drug connection with a hammer. There was a matter of an outstanding debt and the victim wanted the pair to pay. After a few days they would dismember the body and dump it into the Hudson River. The pair would be arrested shortly thereafter.
