Vampire of Paris art print signed by the Happy Face Killer.
This auction is for an art print signed by Oregon "Happy Face Killer" Keith Hunter Jesperson. Between 1990 and 1995, Keith Jesperson murdered at least eight women in multiple states. Prior to his arrest a woman tried to implicate her husband in one of Jesperson's murders, his first, in an effort to get him out of her life. The police quickly jumped on this, forcing the woman to confess she helped her husband with the murder, going as far to show her where the body was found and telling her to point for the camera. With the frame job pretty locked up, the couple both plead guilty and the case was closed. Score one for Team Justice! This didn't sit well with Keith Jesperson, who began writing letters to the media, signing them with a happy face. A reporter started calling him the Happy Face Killer. Eventually Keith Jesperson would be arrested and charged. The couple would ultimately be released, having spent over four years in custody. Keith Jesperson would receive life sentences in multiple states, serving out his sentence in Oregon.
