This auction is for an envelope from deceased New York mass murderer Ronald Joseph DeFeo, Jr. (9/26/1951 - 3/12/2021). On 11/13/1974, Ronald DeFeo murdered his father, mother, two brothers, and two sisters, shooting them with a rifle. He initially claimed the murders were part of a "mob hit," but confessed the following day. During his trail the ol' insanity defense was put forth and failed. On 12/4/1975, Ronald DeFeo was sentenced to six life terms. His case would go on to inspire The Amityville Horror movie series. Ronald DeFeo died of natural causes on 3/12/2021. He was 69.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The completely handwritten envelope is postmarked 7/13/2012, with a few notations written on the front and reverse by DeFeo.
