Drawing by the executed Texas Tourniquet Killer.
This auction is for a drawing by executed Texas serial killer Anthony Allen Shore, also known as the Tourniquet Killer (6/25/1962 – 1/18/2018). In 1998, Anthony Shore was required to register as a sexual predator after being convicted of molesting his two daughters. That DNA file collected with his registration linked Anthony Shore to a decade old cold case. During his interview with police in relation to that homicide Anthony Shore confessed to three additional murders. He committed through the 1980's and 1990's in the Houston area. Anthony Shore earned his moniker as the Tourniquet Killer for strangling his victims with handmade tourniquets. Anthony Shore was ultimately convicted on only one murder and sentenced to death in 2004, a sentence he had requested. Anthony Shore was granted his request when he was executed on 1/18/2018. When asked if he had any last words he stated, "I’d like to take a moment to say I’m sorry. No amount of words could ever undo what I’ve done. To the family of my victims, I wish I could undo that past. It is what it is. God bless all of you, I will die with a clear conscience. I made my peace. There is no others. I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Barbara Carrol, today is her birthday. I would like to especially thank those that have helped me, you know who you are. God bless everybody until we meet again. I’m ready warden." After making his final statement it's been loosely reported that as the lethal dose of pentobarbital was being pumped into his body Shore stated it "burned" and then stated, "Oooh-ee! I can feel that," before losing consciousness. Anthony Shore was pronounced dead 13 minutes later. He was 55.
