This auction is for a sports card featuring football player and media superstar Mr. Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson, also known as the "Juice." Mr. Simpson is, without question, one of the greatest running backs in American football history, if not the greatest running back to ever play the game! He became the first pro player to rush for over 2,000 yards, when he gained 2,003 in 1973, a feat achieved in just 14 games! This earned the Bill's offensive line the nickname "Electric Company." He later went on to be a sports broadcaster for both NBC and ABC. O.J. It was released in 1995, during the sensationalized legal proceedings. Simpson also authored a second book, If I Did It, a hypothetical description of the murders. CRIMINAL HISTORY: On the morning of 6/13/1994, Mr. Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, were found stabbed to death in Los Angeles, CA. Simpson would ultimately be arrested and charged with double homicide. The internationally publicized legal proceedings would become known as "The Trial of the Century," with Simpson ultimately being found not guilty on 10/3/1995. Despite seemingly strong evidence against Simpson, the case was riddled with gross incompetence by police, blatant mishandling of evidence, perjury, and racism. Despite the acquittal, a wrongful death civil lawsuit was filed by the Goldman family, finding Simpson liable for the deaths of both victims. On 2/5/1997, the jury ordered Simpson to pay $33,500,000 in damages. O.J.
