Sean Sellers original birth certificate EXECUTED

This auction is for a birth certificate for executed Oklahoma teen serial killer Sean Richard Sellers (5/18/1969 – 2/5/1999). On 9/7/1985, Sean Sellers, with accomplice Richard Howard, shot and killed a convenience store clerk. The following year on 3/4/1986 he shot and killed his mother and stepfather in an apparent satanic ritual. Sellers was 16-years-old at the time of his murders. Due to the serious nature of the crimes and the lack of sentencing options other than 7 years to life imprisonment, the jury recommended Sean Sellers be put to death. The Sean Sellers case was celebrated in the Christian media with Sean Sellers becoming the poster boy of the "Satanic Panic" movement that was popular with Christians in the 1980s. Sean Sellers was executed on 2/5/1999. He was 29. Sean Sellers remains the youngest person since the reinstatement of the death penalty to be executed for a crime committed while under the age of 18.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The birth certificate came directly from the Count of Kings Records Office in Hanford, CA, where the county's government center is located. It is not a copy. On the document are copies of both Sellers father, Mr. Richard Sellers, and his mother, Mrs. Vonda Bellofatto (Mrs. Vonda Sellers then), signatures. Sellers would go on to kill his mother on 3/4/1986. This original document was printed on 5/18/2009, Sellers's would-be 40th birthday. Birth certificates are not issued to the general public in California. In order to get an original copy you must be the person requesting a copy, a biological parent, a public official on official business, etc. This certificate was originally obtained from the Sellers Family. The certificate comes inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat.
