Card/envelope set from Charles Salvador, formerly Bronson, "the most violent prisoner in Britain."
This auction is for a card from "the most violent prisoner in Britain" Charles Salvador, formerly Charles Bronson. Salvador has had multiple brushed with the law, earning him prison terms in 1974 and 1988. His institutional violence against staff and inmates ultimately earned him a life sentence. Salvador has also been remanded to English psychiatric prison hospitals for treatment while incarcerated. Salvador has changed his name several times over the years, his most recent in homage to Salvador Dali and to reflect a life transition.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The card is signed, "Charles Salvador." Salvador has written his last name and prison number on the top of the card. The card features printed artwork by Salvador and is also signed on the reverse, "Charles Salvador." The original mailing envelope has a few notations and is postmarked 9/14/2017. There's a little hand drawn spider coming down from the original recipient's address. The card and envelope come in a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
