Drawing/religious passage with letter/envelope set from the Washington serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from Washington serial killer Robert Lee Yates, Jr. Between 1996 and 1998, Robert Yates killed at least 13 women. He is suspected in additional homicides, dating back to 1975. Robert Yates would be arrested on 4/18/2000. In 2001, he would ultimately plead guilty to 13 murders in order to escape the death penalty. In 2001, he was convicted of two additional murders and sentenced to death. That death sentence would be commuted to life without parole after Washington State abolished the death penalty.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is five pages on three sheets, dated 6/7/2006, and is signed, "Robert Y." The Christmas passage has an angel drawing. Yates has enclosed a bible study page, underlining a few words. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 6/9/2006. The letter, passage, and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
