This auction is for a letter from Kansas serial killer Dennis Lynn Rader, the B.T.K. (Bind, Torture, Kill) Killer. From 1974 to 1991, Dennis Rader committed a series of murders in Wichita, KS. He took to taunting police through letters with trophies he took from his victims, which lead to his arrest. The case was largely celebrated in the press. He subsequently guilty plead guilty and is serving multiple life sentences. Due to the years in which Dennis Rader committed his actual crimes he wasn't eligible to receive the death penalty under Kansas law.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: There's A LOT going on here! Let me break it all down for ya! There are two, one page missives on two separate sheets, each is dated 10/14/2012, one is signed, "Dennis," and the other is signed in a rather artsy, "Dennis," signature. There an eight page missive, dated 10/13/2012, written out in a short of booklet with lots of artwork. There's a handmade Halloween card, signed, "Dennis," and initialed, "D.L.R." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 10/15/2012 with a black Kansas Department of Corrections stamp on the reverse. The letters, card, and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat. Message me with any questions you might have.
