In May 2024, Sullivan pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child. Sullivan expressed tremendous remorse and embarrassment for his acts at his sentencing hearing, while the child's mother and aunt gave impassioned victim impact statements. The judge ordered Sullivan to receive mental health care as part of his rehabilitation. Tyler Sullivan, a
31-year-old Bristol, Pennsylvania native, was sentenced to 15 to 30
years in state prison for the unfortunate death of his four-month-old
son, Timothy, who passed away. Sullivan was charged with third-degree
murder and endangering the welfare of a child after admitting to
repeatedly shaking his son. The incident happened in 2023, and
Sullivan pleaded guilty in May 2024. The investigation revealed that
Sullivan aggressively shook Timothy, causing serious injuries and the
infant's death. The shaking resulted in serious brain damage.
Sullivan admitted in court that he was unable to provide sufficient
care for his son and expressed profound regret for his conduct.
Despite his sorrow, the nature of the crime resulted in a lengthy
prison sentence. On August 27, 2024, Common Pleas Judge Gary B.
Gilman sentenced Sullivan to 15 to 30 years in state prison. In
