A 44-year-old man
named Ronnie Wayne Newman has been apprehended in relation to a bank
robbery that took place on June 6, 2024. The incident occurred at the
First Convenience Bank branch located inside a Walmart store on
Anderson Boulevard in East Fort Worth, Texas. Interestingly, it has
been reported that Newman had a young child accompanying him in a
shopping cart during the robbery. Upon presenting the tellers with a
note requesting cash, he left the bank with an unspecified sum of
money and the child.
Newman was apprehended in Mineral
Wells on June 17, 2024, after receiving multiple tips from the public
that ultimately resulted in his arrest by the FBI and the Fort Worth
Police Department. He is expected to face charges in Tarrant County.
According to online records, Newman has a history of previous charges
related to property theft, specifically involving the act of stealing
property. Nevertheless, the FBI has not revealed any details about
Newman's connection to the child involved in the incident.
The
authorities have not publicly revealed the reasons behind Ronnie
Wayne Newman's actions during the bank robbery.
Ronnie
Wayne Newman was apprehended and taken into custody by law
enforcement agencies working together, including the FBI Dallas
Division’s Fort Worth Safe Streets Task Force, the Fort Worth
Police Department, and the Mineral Wells Police Department. The
arrest occurred in Mineral Wells on June 17, 2024, around 7:30
p.m.
The successful apprehension was achieved thanks to
the valuable assistance of the public, who provided numerous tips
after the authorities sought their help in identifying the suspect.
These tips ultimately led to the arrest of the individual.
