Richard spent the evening before the nurses murders at the Kay 's Pilot house chain smoking and drinking until late. It’s located at the 3500 E. 100th street in Chicago Illinois.

The dormitory where the massacre happened was on 2319 E. 100th street.

Richard Benjamin Speck (December 6, 1941 – December 5, 1991) was an Americanmass murdererwho systematically tortured, raped, and murdered eight student nurses from South Chicago Community Hospital on the night of July 13–14, 1966.
He was sentenced to death, but the sentence was later overturned due to issues withjury selectionat his trial. Speck died of a heart attack after 25 years in prison. In 1996, video tapes featuring Speck were shown before theIllinois State Legislatureto highlight some of the illegal activity that took place in prisons.
