Chloe Rae Sergent, 27, and her partner, Keola Cachero Wimbish, 40, were sentenced to 20 years in state prison for severe child abuse. The abuse included physical attacks, withholding of food, and evidence of one defendant lighting the 10-year-old victim on fire. Sergent, the biological mother of the child, pled guilty to one count each of child abuse and attempt to commit child abuse. The couple was arrested in Glendale, Arizona, on April 5, 2022.
