Anthony Guy Walker is an American criminal and serial killer responsible for the murders of at least six people in Lenawee County, Michigan, between 1975 and 1986. He was born on July 11, 1957, and has a history of violent crimes, including sexual offenses and murder. Walker’s criminal activities have drawn significant attention due to their brutality and the subsequent legal proceedings that followed his confessions.
Early Criminal Activity
Walker’s first admitted murder was that of Arleen Salcedo, a 24-year-old woman whose decomposing body was discovered in September 1975. After breaking into Madison’s home with the intent to rob it, he tied up and assaulted both women before shooting them. To cover his tracks, he set the house on fire, which resulted in Jessica’s death from smoke inhalation.
In addition to these murders, Walker confessed to killing Floyd Beatty in March 1979 as part of a contract killing for $2,000. He also admitted involvement in the murder of Daniel A. Staggs while they were both incarcerated in 1986.
Legal Proceedings
In December 2010, advancements in technology and new witness testimonies led to Walker being charged with the murders of Madison and Carey. During his trial, he pleaded guilty to these murders but denied responsibility for setting the fire that killed Jessica.
