This auction is for a full set of the four Eclipse True Crime II Bonus Cards: The Rodney King Beating. On 3/3/1991, Los Angeles Police Officers severely beat Rodney King during a traffic stop arrest. The entire assault was captured on video and soon became the focus of world media. Four of the officers were charged in relation to the beating but were soon acquitted by a jury. This sparked outrage, particularly in the African American community, who routinely faced police brutality of this nature. Soon the city erupted into chaos, marking the start of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which lasted six days. 63 people died as a result. The United States Federal Government elected to prosecute the four officers, this time resulting in two convictions and two acquittals. King would go on to be awarded $3.8 million dollars for his suffering. In 2012, King was found dead in his swimming pool. His death was ruled an accident by the same department that almost killed him. Image that!

The cards are as follows: A - The Rodney King Beating, B - The Perpetrators, C - Simi Valley Justice, D - The Uprising. The cards are in a hard plastic display case, which will make shipping a little bit more expensive. The cards can be shipped without the case for significantly less.
