Envelope from the executed Alabama serial killer.
This auction is for an envelope from executed Alabama serial killer Jack Harrison Trawick (2/18/1947 – 6/11/2009). On 10/29/1996, Jack Trawick was arrested in connection with one rape and murder. He would ultimately be convicted of two murders and sentenced to death. Jack Trawick confessed to a number of murders during his incarceration, but no other convictions followed. Those close to him suggest he was only responsible for the two murders he was convicted and that the confessions only highlighted his severe mental illness. Jack Trawick was executed on 6/11/2009. When asked if he had any last words he stated, "I wish to apologize to the people who I have hurt and I ask for their forgiveness. I don't deserve it, but I do ask for it." He was 62.
