Letter/envelope set from the deceased former California death row inmate known as Pincushion. Lots of Charles Manson content.
This auction is for a letter from deceased former California death row inmate Roger Dale Smith. Roger Smith, who was commonly called RD among his peers, earned the nickname Pincushion, do to all the times he was stabbed during his incarceration. Much like Charles Manson, Roger Smith was pretty much raised by the state. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure his death sentence was the result of an institutional murder. Roger Smith was also known as a sexual predator in prison, often raping younger, weaker inmates. Roger Smith was also extremely close to inmate Charles Manson during their stay at Corcoran State Prison.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is two pages on two sheets, dated 1/21/1998, and is signed, "Roger Dale Smith." There's some excellent Charles Manson related content on the first page, detailing Manson's exile to Pelican Bay State Prison, from Corcoran State Prison. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 1/25/1998. I'm including a copy of a CDC Rules Violation Report when Smith is receiving oral sex from another inmate. All the items come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
