Letter/envelope set from the Michigan Murderer.
This auction is for a letter from "Michigan Murderer" John Norman Chapman, who was formally named John Norman Collins. Between 1967 and 1969, John Chapman murdered a series of at least seven women in both Michigan and California. His victims ranged in age from 13 to 21. John Chapman would abduct, rape, and torture his victims, before murdering them. Postmortem mutilations were found on some of the bodies. He would be arrested and was subsequently convicted of only one murder. John Chapman received a life sentence.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is five pages on four sheets, dated 4/30/2007, and is signed, "John." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 5/1/2007.
