Letter/envelope set from Italy's Mostro Della Liguria (translated The Liguria Monster) serial killer.
This auction is for a letter from Italy's deceased Mostro Della Liguri" serial killer Donato Bilancia (7/10/1951 - 12/17/2020). Between 1997 and 1998, Donato Bilancia killed 17 men and women on the Italian Riviera. His crimes were often those of opportunity, so he evaded police capture for some time. Donato Bilancia first got his taste for killing after being set up at a fixed card game. He strangled the "friend" who set him up with the game and then killed the two game operators. Those initial interactions set the wheels in motion. Donato Bilancia was arrested on 5/6/1998 and subsequently sentenced to multiple life terms without the possibility of parole on 4/12/2000. Donato Bilancia died on 12/17/2020 due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. He was 69.
