This auction is for an envelope from executed Texas double murder Carlton Akee Turner (7/4/1979 - 7/10/2008). On 8/8/1998, Carlton Turner shot and killed his adoptive parents in their home and then dragged their bodies into the garage. He then went out on a little shopping spree with their cash, credit cards, and check book, even going as far to have a house party with friends while their bodies were stored in the garage. After a neighbor noticed the couple missing and CarltonTurner's unusual behaviors, they phoned the police. Carlton Turner would be arrested on an unrelated charge and the bodies were discovered. A claim of self-defense didn't work out at trial, contradicting earlier claims he had nothing to do with the murders. A guilty verdict and death sentence were handed down. Carlton Turner was executed on 7/10/2008. He was 29.
