This auction is for a letter from the "Truck Stop Killer" Bruce Mendenhall. In 2007, Bruce Mendenhall is believed to have murdered seven young prostitutes in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee. He was arrested on 7/12/2007. Mountains of evidence would be found in this long-haul semi-truck, including a sack of bloody clothing. Bruce Mendenhall would be charged in Tennessee with one count of murder and be convicted. He would be convicted of a second count of murder, also in Tennessee, and receive a second life sentence. Bruce Mendenhall is a prime suspect in additional murders dating as far back as 2001.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is four pages on two sheets, dated 12/20/2010, and is signed, "Bruce Mendenhall." In this letter Mendenhall goes into his innocence, explaining how he's been framed up by police. The original mailing envelope postmarked 12/21/2010.
