Letter/envelope set with personal news letters from the condemned California mass murderer.
This auction is for a letter from condemned California mass murderer Ramón Bojóquez Salcido. On 4/18/1989, Ramón Salcido went on a murder spree that left seven people dead, including two of his young children. A third daughter survived. After the crimes Ramón Salcido left the country, fleeing to Mexico. He would be arrested five days later and extradited back to the United States. Ramón Salcido would be convicted and sentenced to death. Ramón Salcido has started a Christian ministry since going to prison.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is one page, dated 1/13/1989, and signed, "Ramón Salcido." There are four personal news letters enclosed by Salcido, professing Christian faith, and a copy of a calendar. Salcido has drawn a pair of footprints in the letter. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 1/15/1998. The letter and envelope come in a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat.
